Lebanon is a country that has an average altitude of about 1000 meters above sea level, and contains the highest villages in the Middle East. The main villages of concern are Bekaa kafra, Ainata, Ouyoun al Siman, Faqra, Laqlouq, Tfail, Ouyoun Orghoch, and Souaqi. The information concerning altitudes given below is confirmed and based on Google Earth elevation indicator. == Bekaa Kafra == Bekaa Kafra is a village in the Bsharri District and is the most widely considered as the highest Lebanese village. It has an altitude ranging from 1500 meters to about 1800 meters, but the biggest part of the village has an altitude of 1650 meters. In fact, it is the highest village in Lebanon.
